How to Freeze Bananas
Really I had never given much thought to freezing bananas. So, I used to throw out old brown bananas or I'd make lots of banana bread and toss it out. What a waste!
No idea how easy it was to freeze bananas (and banana bread for that matter).
I was at a friends house and she said she put the whole banana in the freezer - peal and all!
How easy is that?
When it's time to make a smoothie or bread, just put in the microwave for 30 seconds. This will help the peal come off faster.
If you want to get fancy and slice them up, then it gets more time consuming.
You will need to slice them and place them on a cookies sheet lined with parchment paper.
Then freeze for 30-60 minutes.
Once they are mostly frozen then you can put them into a container to freeze, and they won't stick to each other. (use this same method for freezing sliced banana bread)
These are great for teething babies and are a great frozen treat for toddlers (mom's like them too, I have eaten my fair share of them).
Is there something you were afraid to freeze and then discovered how easy it was?
